Topic: Anika's Odyssey : Land of the Taniwha / Thank You I am not sure if this is the proper forum for this, but I just have to say thanks so much for such an amazing game, and I congratulate you on the excellence in your work. New Zealand has taken the entertainment world by storm! This is without a doubt one of the best games I have ever played. My favorite games of all time are Atari Adventure, Lego Star Wars, and now “Anika’s Odyssey: Land of the Taniwha.” Don’t get me wrong – Halo and the myriad of other ultra-realistic games are very well done and amazing, but due to the pursuit of ultra-realism, suspension of disbelief is ultimately harder for the person playing. Technical limitations in these genres are glaring. The artwork, pace of play, and richness of storyline in your creation show such care in your craft. Now I must plant this seed if you haven’t already thought of it. I would love to see something identical to the feel of this in the Lord of the Rings genre. In fact when I was playing your game I was thinking of how cool it would be to present that world like you have done in this one. It would pay homage to the original cartoon versions of the triology and would add another great volume to LOTR fanatics’ shelves at home. Thanks so much again, and keep up the great work. What a fun night! Dan |
